How does itch.io justify charging ANY money for a game that has been set to "Abandoned" status on ALL sites that offered it since Oct 2021? This game is no where near completion and will never see any further updates. It is dead. Doesn't that mean they have turned it into a money grab? I mean.. The developer has abandoned the game so they are not paying the developer any of the money they sell this abandoned game for... Uncool..
Well.. Yes.. IF the developer is still active. The fact that the game is flagged as "Abandoned" on most any site you can find it on, and the lack of updates since, what, 2021? It is clear that this game is no longer supported. Also. Recent changes in itch.io related to game prices has removed the developer's control in many regards. Denial of sale among them so this should have been, and should be, itch's action for any/all games that do not receive demonstration of support and activity by the developer. By all means. Leave the game/developer listed but remove the ability to charge money for any game that is no longer supported or updated by the developer. Think about it. As long as itch is charging for the sale of any game, not updated or supported by the developer, means itch is keeping that money. Even though they have a contract with the developer for how funds disperse, what guaranty do any of US have that our money went to the developer when the developer clearly HAS NOT visited their itch site account in YEARS? This game is yet another example of a game forgotten by the developer, or abandoned because the developer "Moved On", or was removed from the equasion. The last post the developer put on their Patreon page was back in 2021. That constitutes 3 years of no updates or actions with the game even there. Clearly abandoning this game. So.. ANYONE who pays for it has not at all been paying attention to the status. And by continuing to accept payments, since they process through itch control, lets itch disperse the funds how THEY see fit. Even it that means all of them go into itch wallet.
the dev failed to update the game status on itch to “cancelled” I doubt itch will be monitoring every game on other platforms to check if its still developed and puts the onus on the dev to do it. The contract that you mention is a general contract that I don’t think Itch manually makes with each and every developer on the site. Similar to how other platforms sell products have a rate for hosting and selling like Steam, Itunes, Epic etc.
Now as a buyer you should be able to do your due diligence before buying any game.
Should you be able to report an abandoned game that can be bought on itch so that itch does someething about it? Of course.
Itch shouldn’t allow devs to sell games that are still “in development” imo
Patreon does not work in Russia, and the mobilization began and ended in September 2022. Recruited 200,000 people. At the same time, software developers and programmers were not called up. Those who once served in the army fell under the draft.
My game bugged, at one point english translation stopped working. Before this happened i also came across several text where translation wasn't functioning, but now it never works.
You parted with money for a game that is "in development" but has not had any update for many month and the last note from the dev almost 200 days ago. Updates? You get em if you're lucky and the dev gets back to making anything of the game.
you get updates on itch by not giving them money for an incomplete game, but rather waiting until the game is finished - its called "motivation to keep working", and giving ppl money for doing only half their job is NOT the way
Man I can not say this was fun... I can get over the grammatical errors but this feels lazily released for something you are charging for. Numbers in the choices, a fair bit of the story in Russian even though I've got it on English just made it unplayable. I thought it would be a few lines but it went on for a bit and I lost a lot of what was happening or I was agreeing to. It just became a dice roll at one point.
Game crashing on Android a fair bit was annoying but a fresh install seems to have fixed that.
Story and scenes are decent. But they are really overshadowed by these serious issues.
EDIT*
I took a peek over at your subscribestar and saw you had put a lot of effort in so please don't see this as an attack. But I've played free games that were by far more polished in their releases, I've played some worse as well. I know a lot goes into these games but it's got to be playable and I enjoyed what I did manage to play so the pieces are there I just think the Android version needs some polishing but I've not played the PC versions so can't comment on them.

i feel like it was just a rushed game to get quick profit, and then they abandoned it
Good question Falco Falcone..... I think we would all like to know.
If the Developer has been conscripted or disappeared without trace, who is pocketing the Developer's $5 being charged here?
wow the daughter looks super DTF!
I would munch her love box and her starfish!
Who wouldn't...?
sucks that the dev subscribestar.adult/vanderg.... hasn't been on since 2021!
damn, I won't pay for an unfinished game, oh wait...fucking AAA companies!
lols..
Is the author still alive? I'm kind of worried...
No word on any of his sites in almost 2 years, we have to assume this is a dead project and it will no longer be worked on for whatever reason.
Hello! I would like to have a shout out post with you on Itch :) What do you think about it ? :)
0/1 irl
I think the Russian dev might of been conscripted, no updates in over a year not even on patreon.
It's not just the summer that is gone, but also the windows download link.
My game bugged, at one point english translation stopped working. Before this happened i also came across several text where translation wasn't functioning, but now it never works.
Мы все еще ждем )))

Wait for Russia to stop abusing their neighbors and the embargos to be lifted.
